Economics Management Training Department

The Department specializes in training programs for economic management. It provides intermediate and senior administrative people in government organizations and private enterprises, who mainly engaged in economic activities and related management activities with training in Industrial and business administration, engineering management, leadership enhancement, international finance and capital operations. The Department includes the Professional Manager Training Center, Senior Administrative Personnel Training Center, Enterprise Management Training Center, Enterprise Distance Training Center, Industries and Chambers of Commerce/Engineering Management Training Center and a Financial Management Center.

Senior Administrative Personnel Training Center

The Senior Administrative Personnel Training Center provides training mainly to presidents of enterprises and senior managers with professional, innovative training courses and runs a communication platform for leaders of large and medium sized state owned enterprises, private businesses, and government officials engaged in economic management to expand their vision, to enrich their experience and to bring management theories into practice.

Enterprise Management Training Center

After years of development, the Enterprise Management Training Center has fostered its core philosophy of ˇ°forward position, innovation, good qualityˇ±. The training programs have been used in many places around the country. Nearly 30,000 person/times participants have received training in these programs, most of whom are senior supervisors from state-owned enterprises, private businesses, and institutions.

Enterprise Distance Training Center

The Enterprise Distance Training Center provides courses directed at enterprises using distance education technology. It is response for constructing self-training systems (under the ˇ°521ˇ± Project) for China's innovative developing enterprises. The project is supported by the State Development and Reform Commission. Guided by the principle of ˇ°independence, innovation, high quality and high efficiencyˇ±, the Center, drawing on Tsinghua University's education and training resources and management teaching experience, provides education in advanced technologies and individualized services to enterprises. It does research and develops quality education training projects to meet the requirements of enterprises and to help enterprises create their own universities and to enhance the creation of a learning society.

Brief Introduction to Tsinghua University Distance Enterprises School Projects

The Projects put out distance training courses 10 hours a day through the whole year and maintains a data base of about 10.000hours of selective courseware in the form of lectures and case studies. The courses cover marketing, finance, production and operations, business strategy, the art of leadership, and human resources. General skills are transmitted through our satellite network to the enterprises to help them establish their own self-training systems.

Industries and Chamber of Commerce /Engineering Management Training Center

The Industries and Chamber of Commerce /Engineering Management Training Center features business management training and engineering training. Focused on our country's key Industries, it develops training modules in real estate, metallurgy, automotive, coal, electric power, tobacco, petroleum refining, chemical manufacturing, architecture, transportation, the salt Industry and the environment. The urban planning and management training programs received Tsinghua University's second-class excellent teaching program awards. The Center will continue to provide integrated problem solving and training schemes to enterprises, Industry and individuals for the purpose of helping them upgrade their own self-learning capability. The Center designs and creates standardized management and self innovation modules to support qualified projects and courses.

Finance Training Center

The Finance Training Center has two main training tasks: finance and financial management. Nurturing versatile senior administrative managers and specialists in finance, financial affairs, and accounting to meet international standards, the Center takes full advent of the University's depth of resources in finance and accounting teaching and actively brings in the advanced international finance training resources. The Center is response for the design of five big modules: senior management, applied finance, financial affairs management, capital operations and international accounting. The modules are aimed at professionals in financial and non-financial organizations like banks, insurance companies, securities firms, and mutual investment funds. It keeps the faith of ˇ°professional, honest, passionate, and persistingˇ± in mind and provides a solid foundation in finance and accounting to support the trainees' future sustainable career development.
