The Department of International Cooperation and Training in SCE is mainly response for international education and training cooperation. It introduces quality education resources, international training lectures on special themes, and culture exchanges. It has established cooperative relations with first-class universities from the UK, the US, Australia, France, Ireland and Sweden in joint education and training programs. The Department also draws on the resources and capabilities of the Center for Overseas Academic and Cultural Exchanges and the Center for International Education Training.

Center for Overseas Academic and Cultural Exchanges

Tsinghua University's Center for Overseas Academic and Cultural Exchanges, known as the Center for Foreign Exchanges for short, was founded in 1993 and merged into the SCE in July 2006. It is response for overseas and international education training in academic and culture exchanges. It provides overseas students with an opportunity to learn complete and accurate information about China and how to do business with Chinese people. The Center seeks to enhance the understanding of overseas people about China's society, economy, politics, language, culture and legislation. The Center also sponsors efforts to expand exchange programs and contacts with other organizations in China.

Tsinghua Academic Bridging Program (ABP)

The Tsinghua Academic Bridging Program (ABP) has been designed to provide training to people who have achieved a certain proficiency in English. The training includes modules on living overseas, academic language learning and thinking, and adapting to social and economic life abroad.
